This week is dominated by the weather – bitter cold and snow. It almost seems too cold to snow. And the preferred method for dealing with the snow – melting – does not seem possible. Many of us are fortunate and we can stay home, cozy and warm. So far there doesn’t seem to be many power outages. Yet, major illnesses and medical crises, pay no attention to the weather. Some may be able to postpone their surgery or their medical appointments; however, others have no choice. They must get their treatments or be here for their father who is hospitalized. So, supported by your contributions and your prayers, Reynold and Mary clear the snow from around St. Agnes’ House. They shovel the parking lots. They keep the House running and open and welcoming. Even in a storm, St. Agnes’ House offers a place of refuge. Enjoy my view from the porch in Corbin, today, including photos relating to the beginning of our Lenten journey.
